Privacy summary — a plain-language overview of what PregnancyPal collects, the third-party services it relies on, and the choices you have over your own data.

We wrote this page to explain PregnancyPal's data practices in everyday language, because privacy policies are often hard to read when they matter most. It covers what's collected, where it goes, and what you can do about it.

This page is a summary, not the binding agreement. The legally binding privacy policy is the app's own page at pregnancypal.aoneahsan.com/privacy. If anything here and the binding policy ever seem to differ, the app's /privacy page is the one that governs.

What PregnancyPal collects​

In broad terms, PregnancyPal handles:

  • Account information — you sign in with your Google account, so PregnancyPal works with the basic profile and email that sign-in provides.
  • The information you enter — the things you track, such as vitals, weight, mood, symptoms, appointments, and similar pregnancy or fertility details.
  • Files you add — any images or documents you upload.
  • Usage and diagnostic data — how the app is used and whether it crashes, so it can be kept working and improved.

You choose what to enter. If you don't log something, it isn't collected.

The services PregnancyPal uses​

PregnancyPal is built on a zero-cost, client-side architecture and relies on a small set of third-party services to function. Being honest about who they are:

  • Firebase (Firestore + Authentication) — Google's services that store your account data and handle Google sign-in.
  • FilesHub — stores files and images you upload.
  • OneSignal — delivers push notifications.
  • Amplitude — product analytics, to understand how features are used.
  • Sentry — crash and error reporting, to catch and fix bugs.
  • Yandex Metrica and Microsoft Clarity — usage analytics. These two may share usage data with those third parties as part of how they operate.

On Android, the app declares the Advertising ID so analytics can function. PregnancyPal does not sell your personal data.

How your information is used​

The information you provide powers the features you use — tracking, reports, reminders, and the educational content tailored to where you are in your journey. Usage and diagnostic data is used to keep the app running, fix problems, and decide what to improve. We don't use your health entries to advertise to you.

Your choices and rights​

  • Get a copy of your data. You can download a Health Report PDF that compiles your vitals, appointments, weight, mood, and symptoms. See data export and the data export page.
  • Delete your data and account. You can delete your account from inside the app. Your personal data is removed immediately; an encrypted backup is retained for about 30 days and then auto-purged; anonymized analytics may be retained (no longer tied to you). The canonical flow is the delete-account page.
  • Control notifications. You decide what reminders you receive and when.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights over your data — the binding policy at pregnancypal.aoneahsan.com/privacy is the authoritative source on those.

Frequently asked questions​

Does PregnancyPal sell my data?​

No. PregnancyPal does not sell your personal data. Some analytics providers (Yandex Metrica, Microsoft Clarity) may share usage data with those third parties as part of providing their service, which is why they're listed openly above.

Is my health data encrypted?​

Data is encrypted in transit (the connection between your device and the services is secured). We do not make claims like "HIPAA-compliant," "end-to-end encrypted," or "100% secure," because those would overstate what's in place. For specifics, read the binding policy.

What happens to my data if I stop using the app?​

It stays in your account until you delete it. If you want it gone, use the delete-account flow — see above for exactly what's removed and what's retained.

Who can see what I track?​

Your entries are tied to your account. PregnancyPal does not publish or share your personal tracking with other users.
