Language in PregnancyPal refers to the language the app's interface is shown in, which today is English, with a language preference saved to your profile and broader translations actively in progress.

We want to be straightforward with you here. Right now, PregnancyPal's screens, labels, and buttons appear in English. Your account can store a language preference alongside your profile, but storing that preference does not yet translate the whole app into another language. Wider translations are something we're actively working on — and we'd rather tell you plainly than imply more than the app does today.

This page exists so there are no surprises: you know exactly what the language setting does now and what's still on the way.

What you can do with language today​

  • Use PregnancyPal in English, which is the language the interface is displayed in.
  • Save a language preference with your profile, so your preference is recorded on your account.
  • Know where things stand — translations for additional languages are in progress, not finished.

How to set your language preference​

  1. Open your profile preferences where your account settings live.
  2. Find the language preference and select your preference.
  3. Save — your preference is stored with your profile.
  4. Understand the result: the app interface remains in English today; saving the preference records your choice but does not yet translate the app.

Examples​

  • Recording your preference — You'd like the app in your first language someday, so you save that preference on your profile. The interface stays in English for now, but your preference is on record.
  • Reading comfortably — English works well for you, so there's nothing to change. If you'd like larger or clearer text, the theme customizer lets you increase font size and UI scaling.
  • Planning ahead — A friend asks whether the app is available in another language. You let them know it's English today, with translations in progress.

Tips​

  • Save your preference even if it's not active yet. Recording it now means it's already set when broader translations arrive.
  • Adjust readability with the theme settings. While the app is in English, you can make text easier to read via Font Size and UI Scaling in the theme customizer.
  • Use your device's built-in tools if you need help reading English — system-level accessibility and translation features can assist outside the app.
  • Check back for updates. Translation work is ongoing, so the available languages may grow over time.
  • Set your other preferences too. Your units and appearance settings are independent of language and work fully today.

Can I switch the whole app to another language?​

What does saving a language preference do?​

It records your preference on your account. It's a stored setting; it does not change the interface language at this time.

Which languages are available?​

The interface is available in English today. We're not listing other languages as selectable translations, because they don't yet fully translate the app. As translation work progresses, that will change.

Will my data change if I set a language preference?​

No. Saving a language preference doesn't affect your tracked data, reports, or any other settings.

How can I make the English text easier to read?​

Use the theme customizer to increase Font Size and UI Scaling, and your device's accessibility tools for additional help.

What this feature does NOT do​

  • It does not translate the app into other languages yet. The interface is in English today.
  • It does not offer a list of fully working translated languages — saving a preference records your choice but does not change the interface language.
  • It does not translate your own notes, community posts, or reports.
  • It does not affect your data, units, or appearance settings, which work independently.
  • It is not a medical translation service. For health information in your preferred language, ask your healthcare provider, who can arrange interpretation if needed.
